Now, let me take you on a little trip down memory lane. Back in the day, families would hang candles on their Christmas trees. A bit of a scary situation, don’t you think? Between the flickering flames and the pine needles, it was only a matter of time before the holiday spirit would go up in smoke—and not in a good way!

But then, in 1880, a fellow by the name of Thomas Edison gave us the gift of electric lights—hooray! He strung them all over his Menlo Park lab, lighting up the night with the brightest glow. Now, not everyone was sold on this "electric magic" at first, and it took a few years for folks to warm up to it. But in 1903, General Electric stepped in, offering pre-assembled light kits, and suddenly, the world was ready to embrace the twinkle.

And here we are today, with lights not just for Christmas, but for every holiday and celebration! From Leavenworth’s Village of Lights to homes across the world, Christmas lights bring warmth, cheer, and a little extra twinkle to the season.
